Guide: A Modern and Elegant Documentation Theme

Typemill is widely used for documentation, and until now, most users relied on the Cyanine or Learn themes. With the new Guide theme, there’s a fresh, modern option featuring smooth navigation, dark mode, a collapsible sidebar, customizable colors, and more. The theme is available with a MAKER license. Download it in the plugin directory or test it on the Typemill demo instance.

Audio Support: Add Audio Files Natively

Following the introduction of native video support in version 2.10.0, Typemill now supports audio files like MP3 and OGG. Enable the audio button in the writing tab of the settings, but keep in mind file size limitations for Typemill and your server. For details, check the full changelog for version 2.11.0.

What's Next?

The remote print service for the eBook plugin using WeasyPrint is planned for December 2024. Work has also begun on a plugin for centrally managed variables and text snippets, useful for updating product or pricing information across multiple pages. The Typemill documentation will soon move to a subdomain using the new Guide theme, and more themes for knowledge bases, manuals, and project documentation are on the way.
